Xe KMD Driver GPUs
This document lists Intel® General-Purpose GPUs that use the Xe kernel mode driver (Xe KMD), which represents Intel’s next-generation graphics driver architecture. The Xe KMD driver is included in the upstream Linux kernel and provides native support for these newer GPU architectures.
The following table lists Intel® General-Purpose GPUs and their key specifications. The support columns indicate when a GPU first becomes available and when it is fully supported. Initial support is the first Linux kernel version in which the GPU is available experimentally and may require the force_probe=PCI_ID parameter to be detected and initialized. At this stage, the GPU is not enabled by default and may have functional or stability limitations due to incomplete validation. Full support identifies the operating system and Linux kernel version where the GPU is enabled by default, fully validated, and officially supported as stable. These kernel versions should be treated as guidance, because vendor kernels may include backported support for newer hardware in older kernel versions; for confirmation, refer to your operating system release notes to check which Intel GPUs are supported in your operating system release. If your system does not yet provide full support for your GPU, use force_probe=PCI_ID or upgrade to a release with stable support.
